Last Friday night Dan got home from work and exclaimed that he couldn't be inside that evening - it was too beautiful out. So, we went exploring to Centennial Park aka Athens - the home of the Parthenon replica in Nashville. I know what you must be thinking - a Parthenon replica? In Nashville, TN? I know. It doesn't make sense to us either - but it was fun to see!

Look!! Pretty flowers at the park = springtime!!

I struggled to get the whole thing in one photo - it was huge! :)
|
I have no idea how similar it is to the original - but the little details were fun!

Cute Dan getting his photographer on.

Usual behavior from both of us - seen here and below.

I finally got a Pinterest hairdo to work! It only took me a half hour and almost ever bobby pin I own - so of course I had to show it off. :)
We were at Centennial Park just as twilight was setting in - it was a such beautiful park and evening.
Pretty Nashville. I think we will be returning to Centennial Park soon.
I was on your sister Jessica's blog and accidentally clicked your blog by mistake on her sidebar. Happy accident! I don't know if you remember me, I was Tricia Stauffer back in the day. Anyway, my sis her her husband lived in Nashville for 3 years while he went to law school at Vanderbilt. I was able to go out to visit a few times and loved it! They lived right on music row. I loved visiting the war sites around there.
ReplyDeleteI definitely remember you! I remember thinking you were the prettiest ballerina in the Nutcracker! Fun to live right on music row! We have been there a few times - they have awesome places to eat. We are enjoying exploring out here! I think we will go to more war sites as it gets warmer around here, so glad they loved it - I think it is gorgeous in the South! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so sweet of you! Another favorite of ours was Opryland Hotel. The gardens there were so beautiful! I've always wanted to go back. Yes, the food there is amazing. So glad you are loving it. I'm jealous that you'll get to enjoy the beautiful magnolia trees!
