Spring Comes To Nashville

Last Friday night Dan got home from work and exclaimed that he couldn't be inside that evening - it was too beautiful out. So, we went exploring to Centennial Park aka Athens - the home of the Parthenon replica in Nashville. I know what you must be thinking - a Parthenon replica? In Nashville, TN? I know. It doesn't make sense to us either - but it was fun to see!

Look!! Pretty flowers at the park = springtime!!
I struggled to get the whole thing in one photo - it was huge! :)

I have no idea how similar it is to the original - but the little details were fun!

Cute Dan getting his photographer on.
Usual behavior from both of us - seen here and below.

I finally got a Pinterest hairdo to work! It only took me a half hour and almost ever bobby pin I own - so of course I had to show it off. :)
We were at Centennial Park just as twilight was setting in - it was a such beautiful park and evening.

Pretty Nashville. I think we will be returning to Centennial Park soon.

Dan Turns the BIG 3-0

Hi again!
Sorry it has been ages since I updated the blog; but gallivanting to Utah and back, actually working more than 20 hours last week, and getting a taste of spring in TN has kept me from this little blog.

BUT here I am - what would be more important than sharing with you all what we did for Dan's b-day?? Definitely not cleaning the apartment, which is what I should really be doing. :)

Dan elected to use his birthday funds to help purchase his bike trainer.  He loves it and it will be so great next winter when he can't go out for long bike rides!

I have yet to try it - and as I don't have those awesome bike shoes that attach to the pedal, I probably won't be using it.

Anyways, after asking Dan what he wanted for dinner (breakfast in the form of scrambled eggs and blueberry muffins) and what treat he wanted (he didn't care), this is what we consumed!

This dinner looks a little sad on our big plates - but it was yummy!

Sorry it is side-ways, I am still figuring this blog-ness out. But yay 30! (Also, Dan would tell you that I did the 3 backwards at first - how did I even do that?? :))

The very cute and happy birthday boy!!

Contemplating his birthday wish.

Oh, how I love my thirty year old. He is the dearest and my very best friend. So grateful to be married to my Danny. Love him. And love you all!!
